Welcome to our Online Learning Management System

All are talking about the great advantage of online courses - you can study at home without the constraints of classroom attendance (and the bad conscience of missed classes...). Here you have access to teachers and other learners all the time and that should be a great help to make progress. Every course we run has a beginning and an end and if you do your share we'll be with you until you have reached your learning objective.


Available Courses

Preparation for Admission Interviews to Colleges of Education - Access July 08 - Dec '08
Cost: €50.00
 This is a self-study course you can do at home on your computer. It is specially designed for people who have to go for an Irish interview. It keeps in mind those applying for a place in a College of Education. You learn to construct answers to questions about yourself, your home, family, work and in further lessons also about your views on teaching today. The course runs locally in Oileán Chléire as an intensive weekend in May for the B.Ed. applicants and November for the Grad Dips. The subjects are organised on a weekly basis in this system as follows but access is available for 3 months .
month 1: Mo scéal féin - About myself
month 2: I mo mhúinteoir (Being a teacher)
month 3: An curaclam - The curriculum

Gaeilge Chléire 2010 - Beginner's courses

This is the place for you if you want try out learning Irish for the first time. It's used to build up learning materials for individual learners or groups of learners with the same interest / aim on request. You can basically study for yourself and contact a facilitator whenever you need help or have a question. Questions are usually dealt with within 24 hours. You can use the social forum for this course or you can email eolas@cleire.com or request a live meeting via Skype.
Anybody interested in doing a teacher-assisted course of this kind over the coming autumn / winter should write to eolas@cleire.com with any further questions they might have about this course. For the next winter season study materials will be issued from 1st October 2006 and updated on a fortnightly basis. Membership of this course costs € 60 for 3 months and € 120 for 6 months. (Registration period is between 1st October 2006 and 1st February 2007. Last course day is 1st May 2007).
